Project Management
Petroil undertakes all phases of the project management cycle from contract award through to initial design stages, mobilisation and finally commissioning and project completion. Projects undertaken by Petroil include on and offshore oil and gas installation projects. An experienced management team operates strictly in accordance with our formal project management schedules, offering clients technical competence and responsible management in the execution of any project undertaken.
From the award of the Project Contract, Petroil follows established and structured methods to achieve cost control, resource management, planning/scheduling and quality of all phases of the project. Progress reports, design reviews, design verification and validation, safety reviews and quality reviews are performed on a regular basis during the project, to ensure the client is fully aware of all developments.
The Project Management methods include the use of structured Project Management Teams led by an experienced manager and supported by the disciplines required for the particular project undertaken. The project execution plan which is written specifically for each project is developed and managed by Petroil, with review by the client. The plan accomplishes the following:
- Sets overall schedule achievement objectives
- Establishes organisation responsibility for each task
- Defines how each task will be executed and managed
- Is revised as necessary to optimise cost/schedule and quality objective. The overall project scope is structured into work packages (discipline cost centres) with identified responsibility/accountability and commensurate authority.
All procedures are carried out in compliance and accordance to BSEN ISO 9001 standards.
